MODEM

Modem: It is an apparatus that allows to the PC to exchange data for the phone lines. It is the device that is used to navigate for Internet. It is also good to send and to receive faxes from the PC (for it some call it fax-modem). The average form of being connected with Internet is through the telephone, therefore it will be needed of one. There are modem in all the ways and sizes. Some are a separate box and they are known as external módems, with cables that are connected to the computer and the phone line. Some other ones are only inside the computer with a cable for the telephone; the newest are small objects of the size of a credit card that are inserted in the card mother.
